Białoruś uzyskała niepodległość w 1991 roku. W tym samym czasie powstało w Mińsku liceum, które miało wychowywać przyszłą elitę białoruskiej inteligencji. Kiedy do władzy doszedł Łukaszenko, liceum zostało zdelegalizowane. Punktem kulminacyjnym filmu są sfałszowane wybory prezydenckie i następujące po nich protesty uliczne. Licealiści razem z innymi demonstrantami zbudowali na głównym placu Mińska namiotowe miasteczko, brutalnie spacyfikowane przez milicję.

Belarus gained independence in 1991. At the same time, a secondary school was established in Minsk in order to educate the future elite of Belarus’ intelligentsia. When Lukashenko came to power, the secondary school was considered illegal. The film’s climax comes with the falsification of the presidential elections and the ensuing street protests. The secondary school students, together with other demonstrators, built a tent city on the main square of Minsk, which was brutally pacified by the militia.
