Uczucia te docierają do kobiety najmocniej, gdy pojawia się w ich dawnym mieszkaniu. W trakcie porządkowania go odkrywa coś niepokojącego, co rzuca nowe światło na okoliczności śmierci mężczyzny. Katherine postanawia na własną rękę dojść prawdy, do której kręta droga prowadziła będzie przez brukselską scenę klubową. | Meredith Danluck’s directorial debut has something dream-like about it, not just because of the title. The dream turns out to be more of a nightmare for American photographer Katherine, the central character of the film. After the mysterious death of her actor ex-husband, she returns to Brussels—a place she would rather forget. A violent break-up robbed her of the chance to confront her sorrow and properly work through the difficult situation. The feelings hit closest to home when she arrives at their old apartment. As she cleans it out, she discovers something disturbing that might shed a new light on her ex-husband’s death. Katherine decides to uncover the truth on her own, and the winding road to the answers leads her through Brussels’ nightclub scene. Coming to terms with a difficult past is the only way for her to move on and fight for her future. Danluck has succeeded in creating a full-blooded, atmospheric thriller, drawing on the rich tradition of film noir. The film’s low-key atmosphere builds to a sense of oppression and mystery thanks to Christopher Blauvelt's remarkable cinematography.
